Right to work

I'm looking for a job in a town inside the Republic of Ireland about 15minutes away from the border, and have been offered an interview at KFC. They sent me the UK right to work checklist. I'm unsure whether I'd be eligible to work there under UK's laws. I'm 18 years old, was born in Ireland, and have lived here for my entire life but I have a Polish passport. Would I be able to work there? The place I would be working at is in the Republic of Ireland so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't let me, but I'm still concerned.

Please let me know if I'm allowed to work there. If I am allowed, what should I do if they decide not to let me work there because of my Polish passport.

You mention passport but not citizenship, are you an Irish citizen? If so you can work in UK no problem. Even if not, UK law doesn’t apply in the republic and KFC can’t enforce it here. It would probably be discriminatory for them to require staff in Ireland to also be eligible to work in the UK. It’s a big franchise in the UK and they might have included the form by accident as part of standard corporate documentation.

My reading is that the job is in the republic of Ireland. As an EU citizen you can freely work in the republic. If it's in northern Ireland (UK) , you need a work permit as your citizenship is polish

I'm guessing you were born in the North? As a Polish citizen you have the right to work anywhere in the EU

Under the assumption he was born in the north he doesn't need a visa as he has lived in the UK prior to Brexit - not sure of his history but may even be able to apply for an Irish citizenship and get free reign between Ireland and the UK (and assuming an He)

Are you positive the location you're applying to is actually on Ireland's side of the border? If so, then it's probably just a mistake by the head office. Contact their HR department and let them know they've sent you the wrong paperwork.
