    I had to google it myself too, was either about natural gas production or random number generation.

    Given the amount of beer I was drinking playing this yesterday it could have been either.

    Somebody has to finish level 2 by Sunday! I've a bit of time again tomorrow to give it another attempt.

    For some reason , unlike anything else in life…ever,beer helps me gaming. Affects reaction times me b**l1x,,😂

    I actually scored 250,000 and got to the level 3 boss but unfortunately recorded everything on a Betamax tape so you'll just have to believe me

    only got to give this a few credits last night :( ,got nowhere ! had an issue though not being able to retain the rocket thing it just kept counting down even when not being fired 😒

    I think there's two levels of weapon, a less powerful one that has ammo and another that is more powerful but time limited. I think the time limited one will kick in if you collect another power up when you have an ammo based weapon.

    It's a fun game but no metal slug.

    Metal Slug is exactly what you get if you take Gunforce II and improve absolutely everything. Even the way you control the two guns rotating around is very similar to how the Slug tank rotating gun works. I knew it influenced it a lot but after spending a week playing it, you can really see how many little things like that made it over.

    Amazing to think Irem made In The Hunt in 1993, Gunforce 2 in 1994 and then a lot of those folks went on to do Metal Slug in 1996. Talk about a great run of games.

    Apparnetly they ran out of time with the game as well which is why there's no ending or credit scene. You can tell quite a bit of it is rushed. The lead up to the second stage boss for instance has some gorgeous pixel art but that section just repeats some pretty boring gameplay that has no chance of killing the player. You can tell it's rushed quite a bit.

    However it's also very reminiscent of stage 4 and the opening stage of metal slug and metal slug 2 respectively.

    Can't fault the pixel art, it's gorgeous.

    ah interesting I didn't realise the rocket could be timed,so that explains that , I also knew some powerups were to be skipped but just couldn't remember which ones !
