When season 1 dropped was it a weekly thing with Apple or was the whole season dropped as a batch.

Pretty sure it was weekly. (Although it was along time ago)

Cool when season 2 drops opening episode will probably watch season 1 again, 1 a week and it will bring me nicely into a full season 2, just a refresh and a recap.

In general Apple drop one episode a week. Hoping they make an exception here.

    It'll be weekly..

Rewatched S1 over the last few evenings. Really glad I did, as I forgot some pretty big story points (though I might have picked them up from the trailers posted above).

Still an incredibly f*cky show that I'd struggle to recommend to a lot of people just because of how f*cky the first few episodes are, but the payoff is worth it for those who can stick with it.

Season 1 will be a very hard act to follow, I'm lowering my expectations just in case.

May actually do another re-watch of Season 1 again too.

Ooh.. not long to go now.

Decided to do a last minute season 1 rewatch.. it has been 3 years!

Hoping it won't take me longer than the weekend.

There's plenty of good recaps on YouTube I've no doubt mind.

I was considering doing something similar but left it too late and decided to press on.

S2 begins with a 3 minute recap according to Empire.

Spotted this carousel on Amazon this morning.. didn't realise Apple TV was available on Prime.

    Aren't they competitors?

I get the reverse also - Apple TV+ app notifications that something's available on Prime.

Good episode to start off the season.

Everything they have being told is a lie. Am I correct in assuming this?

    Has Helly turned?

She didn't tell them her back-story.

There's a fan theory that it's actually Helena posing as her innie self. Feel like rewatching the episode to see if there are any more clues in the character performance.

Was good to have an exclusively basement episode. Got to feel the innies' perspective at being completely in the dark regarding what's happening above.

    Yes I think so.

Mark being told its 5 months later, is a lie imo and the newspaper is a fake/photoshop.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 925 ✭✭✭RickBlaine

My interpretation of that scene is that she is too embarrassed or unsettled to tell them she is actually an Eagan. But the fan theory above is intriguing too.

Keanu Reeves was good in it.

Churned through 10 episodes in 2 days.. enjoyed the rewatch as a few things had definitely slipped my mind.

Great opener. Bit of a reset however but we'll see how it progresses given their outie knowledge.. more questions than answers tbh after the opener.

Watched last night - I had the benefit of only watching season 1 for the 1st time over Christmas, and only found out season 2 was coming in January afterwards which was nice.

Good 1st episode - I thought the same thing re Helly/Helina - there were just a few too many small things for me to think it was from embarrassment. Little things like mentioning speaking with the gardener. That said, I'm sure that's all been considered and it's just another way to throw us off.

Looking forward to the rest of them now.

I thought the whole Helly thing was very obviously painting her as the outie on a mission to infiltrate the innies. The only thing giving me pause for thought on that is that they're making it so obvious, maybe it's a bluff and yeah it's just Helly worried what the others will think.

Solid opener. I hope we get to see more of the other team. The new child manager is odd. She's hardly an innie so WTF is she doing there. Loved the segment with "how Lumen is making life better for innies" :D new vending machine options!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,912 ✭✭✭Rocket_GD

There's a theory floating about that the child manager could be Mark and Gemma's daughter. That Mark (outtie) as an alcoholic, constantly drinking in s1, we've attributed it to the loss of his wife, however what if he was one before that and was an abusive partner/father.

A lot of theories about how the innies are the anthesis of their outties personality. Helle is a loveable rogue, Helena is a devout Egan follower. Mark's innie is overly nice, sympathetic and caring, what if his outtie was a right pr*ck and part of severance is experimenting does the innie treat his daughter in a different manner than the outtie did.

Wild one I know, but excited to see where it goes from here.

Those are pretty out there. There's never been the remotest suggestion that outie Mark had a child. You'd think Devon would have mentioned that at least once. That Gemma was pregnant at the time of her "death" I could maybe buy. (not sure how long ago Gemma died). We've only seen two examples of outies on screen so far, Mark and Helena (we didn't get any insight into who outie Dylan and Irving actually were) and outie Mark has been shown to a decent enough guy any time we see him so don't buy that anthesis theory either.
