Grilled bacon, a poor attempt at a sort of bubble n squeak (left over mashed potatoes with some chopped scallions mixed in) and a couple of soft fried eggs.

Not a poor attempt at all, but I'd call refried champ (I always feel, perhaps incorrectly, that bubble and squeak has to have cabbage in it) ! Great looking plate of food, even if all you weirdos insist on turning your fried eggs!

Fair play @the beer revolu, I should have said champ rather than BB&S as there wasn't any cabbage in it. I did think about shredding some brussels sprouts and giving them a quick sauté before incorporating but was lazy and just went with the scallions.

Also, the eggs weren't over easy, they were fried with a lid on the pan and a small cube of ice thrown in 30 seconds from the end to create some steam to give that over easy effect 😉

    Fair enough, my mistake.

It's really only for aesthetic reasons that I give out about over easy eggs. I love the bright yellow yolk on sunny side up eggs and I don't mind a little bit of undercooked white. I really dislike fried eggs if the yolk is hard, though. There is no right way, despite what some here might suggest!

Yeah, I just don't like undercooked 'snotty' white so always err on the side of a slightly cooked yolk.

    Each to their own 👍️

Softly scrambled egg on a slice of toast with cheese. Also, a big glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, followed by coffee. I cannot recommend fresh fresh OJ enough for hangovers. Gotta be squoze in the last half hour.
