    Hi all,

I purchased goods from a UK based retailer and received the goods but had to return. Paid for standard return to an Post. I didn’t hear anything so I contacted the retailer and they never received the goods. An Post can’t track as its standard post without a tracking number.

Where do I stand now? Retailer won’t give refund as they didn’t receive the goods and An Post can’t tell me where they are.

    Thanks in advance.

You didn't pay for tracked and insured, so you have no comeback. Retailer isn't going to refund without the original product. Alway send returns tracked and insured.

Generally if the item is over a certain value a retailer will recommend tracked return, Amazon for example advise that.

You're sort of out of luck if you didn't insure and track it, what was the value?

Value was €160. I’m sure they did mention to go with tracked return but to be honest I never had any issues before returning so just went standard. Lesson learned!

    Any chance of more information?

1 - when did you send it

2 - did you have your address on it as sender?

3 - did you put description and taric numbers on it for UK customs entry?
