"Hey Kevin, remember that 700K+ we dropped in RTE's bank account with no strings attached (and despite RTE having no discernible corporate governance)?

Well - there's no such thing as a free lunch......"

Patricia is still on the line, 22.5 hours later..

Ciaran Mulooley (now an MEP) announced when he was in RTE, govt parties used contact RTE to 'change the story'

This country established its own government – hopelessly imperfect though it may be – to serve and vindicate the needs of Irish people, first and foremost.

The electorate are a huge part of the problem. You put shite in, you get shite back.

We may joke and judge - but this is when Liveline really does some good and raises awareness for the right things the right way

Jaysus, some good use outta Liveline for once.

Is that not what it is supposed to do all the time?

Absolutely absurd and ridiculous that an item like that couldn't be properly fixed.

    Josephine is joes alter ego.

Agreed but, it's shocking that it comes to this,

There's no accountability these days, and criticism isn't allowed in these woke times,

But this lady would put us to shame when we give out about little stuff

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,829 ✭✭✭✭Dan Jaman

She'll now be able to attend to her own blockages.

Does Joe think some random engineering firm could just manufacture a part for a hoist?

A hoist is a piece of lifting equipment, that has to have certain CE approval and is subject to statutory inspection. You cant just cut a piece of metal and add it to an existing piece of equipment.

If that was the case, Liveline would be inundated with calls about people getting hurt from faulty hoists that were haphazardly repaired.

Think it's quite damning of services in general, dat dey only get a fire set under dem when dey hear der name read out on de radio.

Instead of having a happy story about dis, we should have shows were de authorities and public servants really should be getting hammered into.

It's the only thing Liveline does well and it would be a far better programme if Joe concentrated on consumer topics like this, rather than Joe's vanity projects and petty vendettas

Duffy couldn’t wait to get rid of her though

Yep, instead of whole shows dedicated to Joe and his arts friends drooling over a whistling clip from 1915 - add any other absurdism the Liveline team have visited on the listening public over Duffy's tenure.

This country established its own government – hopelessly imperfect though it may be – to serve and vindicate the needs of Irish people, first and foremost.

The electorate are a huge part of the problem. You put shite in, you get shite back.
