FreeSat UK - no signal

Freesat user here. This month (Nov. 2024) also got ’no signal’ error for a number of lost channels incl. ITV4 and C4+1.

Before calling a technician on TV select Menu/Setup/Freesat Setup/Auto Setup (in Freesat Setup Menu)/Start Auto Setup. All previous Freesat tuning data will be erased. All Freesat channels should then be found and a new channel list created. Enter Postcode for local services including space, e.g. W1A 1AA.

These steps, which took just over a minute in total, worked on own Panasonic TV and all channels now back. Make of TV shouldn’t affect procedure too much.

New LNB required alright.

Universal type LNB.

The new LNB will depend on what dish is there, Sky dish or non-Sky. There is a difference in the LNB mount diameter, iirc 40mm vs 37mm
