Moville - one-bedroom apartment - investment for rental

    Hi !

I am a small time investor - I took out my pension fund money - and I am putting them in small real estate investments (the inflation eats off my hard-earned money after 40 years of saving). I am looking at Moville, Donegal, 1-bedroom apartment, 44 sq. m, in good condition. How is the rental market in Moville - is there demand? Is it only refugees renting, or are the local community members in need for such? Would it be a good investment? Would a rent of 800 EUR be achievable ? It is not a fancy place - but in good condition.

    Thank you!

A guy told me that the reasonable rent there would be more like 500 EUR max. He says Moville is a small town, and for 800 - 900 you can get a whole house.

Main bit of advice would be to check it's definitely not affected by reflective concrete blocks.

I have checked it - it is not affected, as it was built in 1899.

The other person tells me - the ARP program which provides 800 EUR rent support to Ukrainian refugees will soon be over - and after Ukrainians will leave (soon he says), the demand for rents will decrease, and rent prices will fall. So he says investing 90 000 to get 400 - 500 EUR a month is not a good idea.
