I can’t see him appealing TBH- I think the risks outweigh the rewards - it wasn’t a huge financial award .

Judge to decide on costs next week also -I would assume most of her legal costs are covered but not necessarily all of them as jury didn’t find in her favour for the other “person”- I don’t think that will be an inconsiderable cost and could run to many 10s of thousands if not more- let’s hope this court finding and “modest” financial award as McGregor called it , is not over shadowed by a large legal liability bill

You can see by his message back in response to jake paul about it last night on X that mcgregor does not care and always will be same scumbag. He has no morals.

I don’t think he appeals. Damage done, and him dragging out out more for her will see even more damage to him. Of course, immediately after the result he was going to respond. When dust settles I think a change of direction… also, who’s to say more of these allegations aren’t awaiting him.. seems to be the talk

very telling that not even 24 hours after being found liable in a rape case he’s online abusing people with homophobic slurs

She was extensively bruised… you think it was all to do with her consenting? This is much more likely due to him being firm, rough and controlling.. exactly as she described it.

The issue I think a lot of folks have with her story is the fact she was quite drunk and what happened after the alleged rape. It has been discussed and detailed how her behaviour after does not mean she could not have been raped

Also, add in Lawrence’s claim that really stinks of a concocted lie…

I don't know how this will go. She was adamant they didn't have sex and he was saying they did. It's obvious he was just brought along to make her look bad and possibly even to take the rap so i hope it's looked at that way and she doesn't have to contribute to it.

While I’m with you on that, the finding is still the finding unfortunately - if I accused you of something in a civil court and the judge or jury didn’t find in my favour I’d be liable for costs - however it’s how the costs are calculated will be the issue here now - the lawyers had to do all of the groundwork for McGregor- this person was a smaller part of a bigger trial - so I’m hoping whatever the amount, that it doesn’t leave her with nothing

I saw that alright - The guardian too last night had a “clear as day” headline - I posted it last night - it spelt things out much clearer than even the Sky News headline - Irish media a lot more “understated” in their headlines

So she consented to having intercourse with her tampon in, allowed him to choke her and bruise her bkack and blue all over. Ya I say after the first 5-10 minutes she wanted it over but before that I say she said no a few time.

I taught her discription of what he said while choking her is factually correct. As well it seems the f@@ker has form but this is the first case that came to court. Similar to attacks the property and intimidatiom of people who take him to court. With a while I taught he was a vile piece of sh!t this proves it.

Do I think she was naive in joining him to continue a party ya I do and if there was no bruising I think the jury would've been inclined to accept his version. But the bruises especially around the neck swung it for me. We see this type of rape a bit where the individual uses choking to heighten the act for themselves
