    Hi, those appear to be rivets and not screws. Maybe a better photo will confirm it for us.

    Are you trying to replace the handle or what?

    Sorry, not much better, camera isn't great. They are over 30 years old anyway

    Yes, definitely a rivet. They can only be drilled out unfortunately.

    You would just need blind rivets of a suitable diameter then to replace the existing ones.

    whatever you do remove the glass before you drill out the old rivets. or you will break the glass

    I know what youre saying but those rivets should be behind the glass, otherwise the rivets themselves wouldnt be there in the first place. Anyway the rivets should be drilled using a wider diameter bit than the hole, so the bit doesn't impinge on the glass anyway.

    years of experience here. if u drill the rivets with the glass in you will more than likely break the glass.
