A question on spreading potash and grazing

In the stud farm where i work we spread mop on the entire farm about a month ago..we had horses in some of the fields at the time and no issues

Be grand this time of year as the plant wouldn't be taking up nutrients very fast. The real problem is in times of high growth rates.

Is there same amount of k in the two different potashes? I got mitigate of potash lately and it was 490. If I was buying again and there was only a tenner in the different I’d buy the sulphate

Still be good growth in March. Makes no difference (in harm) if you are spreading small amounts with your fert throughout the year. But if you were going with a big hit like SOP or kieserite then sooner the better imo, especially if one didn't know their S status in soil tests as too much is a harm in stopping copper intake from grass in the animals. So there's a little leeway in some being leached in early than be stuck with a problem of copper throughout the growing season if a big hit was spread say in late April.
