Image upload prevented for new users is restricting discussions

    Hi there.

I'd like to suggest that the image upload restriction on new accounts is highly limiting for new users especially when requesting assistance in the DIY/Electrical/Home and construction forums. Example of one situation is below, but this has been an issue for quite some time:

Could I suggest that the limitation be relaxed for discussions in the home & garden forums as this would encourage new users to be able to visually describe their situations and is unlikely to result in spam/unsuitable images, etc…

    Thanks!

Yes, I agree that new users should have the ability to post images. especially in the above mentioned forums for some topics, it's simply impossible to describe with words the problem you are having. It's much easier to simply take a picture and show what you mean.

I suspect problem might be that it is either permitted to ALL forums/threads from post 1 or restricted up to certain points achieved.
Now imagine what would happen with all those spam posts we currently have on hourly basis….

It can be granted on a per poster basis once they have posted a few genuine posts
