How is it managed when a rifle can shoot 2 calibres, can both calibres be on the same cert or is it like having a second barrel and would need a second cert?

I think most just license it as a 38, as the ammo is a bit cheaper.

You could do what Munsterlad102 suggests (I think a few people have done that) - but I would specify the two calibres on your application so that you have the option to use either. When you receive the license - it will specify the make of the rifle and say .38/.357 on it.
