The jar task and final task were both solid..

.. the robot and team task, not so much!

Robot task was good in theory but difficult to make it entertaining, team task wasn't great, especially the cycling one.

Best live task this season by a mile though and I always enjoy tasks like the jar one where they present it in the studio

Second half of that episode was absolute Taskmaster gold.

I didn't mind the team task, thought both teams at least tried to jazz it up a bit. Jar task was great and the studio task worked really well.

For Sam Campbell fans - he's on Richard Osman's House of Games this week.

    Nice. Thanks for heads-up.

I used to watch HoG religiously but now more often need to check who is on each week before deciding to watch really.

Sam Campbell too wacky for the drips he's on with in HoG.. though he did break Catherine Tyldesley when he indicated he was practicing the buzzer round "using a lump on his Dad's back"! 🤣

Junior Taskmaster due to start in November!

Yeah, the rest are too dry. I did enjoy when he explained to the boxer chap what it meant when Francis of Assisi was canonised. 😄

AU version is fun, lots of half arsed attempts at task though.

I'd have thought this series would be stronger with Rhys, Aaron and Pete.. but it's not been brilliant!

Although Concetta's misunderstanding of the weighing scales task in the most recent episode was hilarious!

Thought tonight's episode was probably the best this season. Andy Zaltzman is great, love his sense of humour and Rosie I found very funny in the wire task.

Generally Not a fan of the winner takes all live tasks but thought tonight's one was quite good

Andy Zaltzman at this very best last night. Good solid episode overall but he was excellent. Loved Rose blaming Alex on the wire cutting task.

Am Yisrael Chai - Bring them home.

Junior Taskmaster starting on November 8 so it'll run in the last two weeks of regular Taskmaster.

Couple of shots of the new house here

I dont know if I'd like Junior Taskmaster. I've found myself agreeing with Nish Kumar/John Kearns/Hugh Dennis/Fern Brady (but not David Baddiel thankfully) et al. way to much to need to realise that yes Children are also better at solving tasks than I am.

Had my doubts as others mentioned but really enjoying Rosie Jones

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,585 ✭✭✭✭Basq

She's got some cracking one-liners to be fair!

Think most of the contestants have had their moments, except for Babatunde who's been pretty poor (though "your mum's a slag!" was a great moment, although mainly due to Greg flagging it).

Decent enough episode - fortune cookie and team tasks both solid!

Enjoyable episode, the bell and cookie fortune tasks were so-so in design but the cast did a good job at making them entertaining.

I quite like this group, there's a good chemistry between them and I like the dynamic with Jack and Rosie. Rosie has surprised me with how funny she is, bit underwhelmed by Babatunde though

The team task in S14 where John Kerins was trying to sabotage the task was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

This season is actually becoming very good. They're all very likeable and get the impression they're all really enjoying it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,803 ✭✭✭✭siblers

John Kearns is one of the best ever contestants. He's brilliant

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,950 ✭✭✭Badly Drunk Boy

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Jack Dee's Krusty the Clown comment. 😄

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,002 ✭✭✭✭pjohnson

John kinda got lost in the brilliance of Dara and mayhem of Fern but he is fantastic. Theres so many moments that are hysterical.

    VEEEEEE VEEEEE VEEEEEE VEEEEEE

The task blowing away after he slowly gets to within an inch of it.

And the pleasure task which immediately starts with a groan of pain and just gets audibly more torturous every second.

Then the genuine brilliance of the bowling task he spent 14.20 of his 15 minutes setting it up to nail at the first attempt.

8pm seems late for a kids show?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,585 ✭✭✭✭Basq

They know it'll get the viewers on prime time.

Well I have to say I take back some of what I said about Rosie Jones. She is still annoying and I'm not keen but she really is great on this. Thoroughly enjoying her one liners and inventiveness tbh.

The first time I enjoyed a arty type task, with the 3D recreations of art works. But he should have rated them IMO, I think getting 5 each is like get 0 each.

    I think the season improved.
