Shannon Town shopping centre...having a coffee on work time....because after 35 years in this industry I bloody well earned a coffee break when I want one 😁😁

Deskside in the home office this morning, off shortly to the clinic to have the ECG portable 24 hour holter monitor device taken off and handed back. Cardiac tests went fine yesterday - but I won't get the results for a while.

Art class this evening to look forward to - and a Halloween party at a mate's place this coming Saturday! 🎃🎃🎃

Mental health is plummeting over the past couple of hours. Profound sadness and anxiety. ☹️😢

My grief is close to overwhelming me this late afternoon - I've been crying and very upset - finishing up work at my home office shortly and then going to bed.

Art class will have to wait until next week.

Just back Homeside here. Popped into the office to drop off my work laptop and company badge, also signed the separation agreement. I’ll be honest, it felt like I was back in my school days, back in boarding school in Austria. The office was half empty, and it felt akin to the last few days of the term, when all of the local schools kids had already been picked up and I was just sitting there waiting for my parents to pick me up, with nothing but empty hallways filled only with memories.

Anyway, the last paperwork is done, the last ties have been cut. I hope I’ll be able to move on soon…

@JupiterKid 🫂🫂 Hang in there buddy. I know the feeling all too well. I’m here for you, as is the rest of the gang!

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Jk , first things first look after yourself . Everything else can wait . Hugs

@JupiterKid I'm sure you know yourself best, did they give you some coping mechanisms in the clinic? Maybe just allow yourself tonight and see how you feel in the morning? I'm guessing these things will hit you from nowhere for a while.

I know tis not too cold out, but I fancied a cosy evening, have the stove lit and a red wine in hand. Now, for.Jilly Coopers Rivals on Disney😁

Deskside here in the work office, prepping for a class I have to give at 3pm.

Feeling a bit better today but still very low and melancholy. I am seeing my keyworker at Highfield hospital next Tuesday and hopefully I can avail of some additional supports there. OH has been a great support too!

Thanks guys for all the concern - I will get through this! 😊👍️💪

It's a slog, alright. Just look after yourself and take it one step at a time, JK

Homeside here, back from therapy earlier today. Things are getting better over here, though only slowly. Feeling somewhat relieved now that the last remaining paperwork is done. Craving some chocolate here for some reason but have none at home and too drained to head out and get some…

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

On the couch here with a coffee, Katie Melua and Norah Jones playing in the background. Life is good, at least for now…

Currently trying to process having a bank holiday weekend off.. I don’t think I’d go back to the kitchen for the lotto numbers every week. 🤣

@Gremlinertia a Halloween version of Mars from John Grant the other night. Not my recording, but sound is good. He's got a great voice.

Where did you end up?. Can't remember if you mentioned but delighted for you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,530 ✭✭✭SuperBowserWorld

Well you were looking for a video so I went looking. I can't believe the sound quality from a random mobile phone recording is actually better than The Late Late Show sound. It's true. Maybe LLS is better these days, but there are times when artists just sound terrible on it.

Well thank you I appreciate it a lot. Especially when I'm waking up to head into what will no doubt be a pox of a night at work

I absolutely loved the video Bowser, never heard of him but will look him up. I'm on a major Teddy Swims vibe atm, my friend is obsessed so that's all I'm listening to these days .

I recommend listening to his first album, Queen of Denmark, it's one of my favorite albums of all time.
