Is he not though an actual meteorologist and climate scientist even if he doesn't work for Met Eireann? Personally I like his fb page.

Given forecasts he's given, thunderstorms of the century June 2020 and new purple and black warnings, heavy 8 inches of snow February 2019 etc, he's a hype merchant.

Also, even if qualified, I believe only a National Met Office should issue warnings. It's too confusing for the public with one issuing yellow, another orange etc for the one event.

I've only been following his page this yr so am not aware of any hype of previous yrs.

One June 2020 purple thunderstorm warning. There was a black level for one day!

Delighted to see the Met Office addressing the total fantasy toilet paper articles that the media publishes on an almost weekly basis. If only Met Eireann would do the same, what's worse here is the gutter media here actually spin each story pointing the finger at Met Eireann as if they came up with the sensational weather forecast.

Indeed time to tackle how they are misquoted taking pieces and using out of context and misrepresentation on a weekly basis .

Have you a link Gonzo to the Met Office addressing the problem

Nice and dry for Halloween this year. Makes a change from recent years.

Could be foggy in parts adding to the atmosphere for the day that’s in it.

Is it just me or is Autumn fast becoming our best season on the east coast of Ireland at least.

Absolutely loving these afternoons were I leave work to some genuine warmth in the sun and blue skies.

Maybe these super active hurricane seasons that are now the norm are throwing a lot more late season warmth up to the mid latitudes of western Europe?

good morning from another glorious day in the insadong district of central Seoul,South Korea, low 20’s Celsius today

    IMG_0416.jpeg

We were up at the DMZ during the week,in one of its coastal areas and here was the view looking across at North Korea, about 1.5 kms away

    IMG_0343.jpeg IMG_0347.jpeg

Last one there zoomed in on a North Korean village

The look out area had super zoom view screens where you could zoom in on the village and see soldiers on the beach

He added to new levels to yellow, orange and red. Namely purple and black. Black was fairly close to the apocalypse.

The last few days have been an autumnal joy, here in Limerick City anyway.

I was planting bulbs and tidying flowerbeds on Thursday with temps in the high teens, partly overcast and breezy but almost completely dry.

I walked four kms today amid loads of yellow and golden fallen leaves everywhere, blowing in the breeze.

It's this dry spell before the rain turns them to sodden slippery mush that's so nice to savour. October has been a lovely month.

Stunning morning in Kerry, very mild and still. As other posters have said, it has been a very decent October overall and next week is looking dry too to finish it off in style.

There's nearly a yellow warning every day now. I'm yellow fatigued already and it's still autumn !

There appears to be a great spell of weather coming next week, great for trick or treating. I wonder will we get a yellow warning for fog 😵‍💫

A beautiful clear night last night in the east with hardly a cloud. There was a weak aurora that never got properly going but can't moan with clear skies in Ireland. Started off in Ballynafagh, Kildare getting the milky way and the aurora then went to Skerries where I was greeted with more diffused aurora and a lovely moonrise.

Same near Tralee, overcast, moderate rainfall and very dull now although the morning /early afternoon did brighten up a bit . Managed to get out in the garden for about an hour in a sheltered spot away from the light rain but had to come as the rain got heavier a short time ago. Mild at 14.2C . Will have to take to the garage! 😁
