HKC alarm app

I have a HKC alarm, installed a few years ago.. the installer charges 100 euros annually for the HKC app. It seems expensive to me as I am the one who operates it. Has anyone out there this app? If so , is this how it works or can users just download it themselves.

I pay a fiver a month I think… allows me remote access to set/unset etc… handy when allowing family access when we are away.

Are you getting charged for the app on top of the monitoring service?

I have the same app and I pay €150+VAT per year, which covers the cost of the monitoring company and the app etc. All fees.

Same - very handy and cheap. Why pay someone to monitor when you can do it yourself ? And anyone can buy the app and be added with your details.

Thanks for valuable info. My guy doesn't monitor but if I have a fault I could contact him . Otherwise I just get the the bill for app every year.

I don't have monitoring but I'm fairly sure it's only €65 per year for the app

Thanks for the info.. Just one other wuestion. What service does the monitoring company provide? I mean in addition to what the app allows youdo?

If you pay the installer direct, he will charge you extra fees for this service.

Its always good to have someone on the other end of the phone also, software upgrades and help if you need anything done remotely.
