How long for A&E to send report to GP

I had a A&E visit and need to follow up with GP. Does anyone know do they always send a record to GP and how long it generally takes at most, like is it electronic or postal mail?

Depending on issue and/or requirements for further investigation most places send back to nominated GP pretty quickly. The admin/processing is the delay and varies widely depending on the issue, urgency and staffing of both.. Feel free to call GP if you gave hospital their details.
