Lost Saorview channels

Need more information, such as where you are, whether you're using indoor, loft, or roof aerial, if you're distributing it to other TVs or combining the signal from multiple aerials for distribution.

YOu should be able to do it yourself, it should be connected to an aerial for Saorview. What type or brand is it.

He is telling you lies. The free to air UK channels broadcast by satellite have nothing to do with Saorview. I suggest a bit of googling/YouTube on how to tune the satellite channels on that particular box and you should be able to sort it yourself.

The latest call out was €130 if there was something wrong with the box or €90 for anything else. It wasn't the guy. He was just following instructions from the company

You miss out quite a bit, is the aerial outside, is it a good one, is it amplified, what make is the receiver? What are neighbours using, anyone else having problems. Interference is a bugger, you need top quality cable, like w100 and you can get filters.

And you need good joins in the connectors.

I have big trees in way and use this with a masthead amp for 3 tv's. They are good so give them a buzz.

I'd seriously doubt you've always had faultless Saorview reception. Omagh just isn't in a good spot; about halfway between two main transmitters using the same channels (but different polarisation) for a start.

Reception in Omagh's mainly Truskmore, but I've also seen reception there from Holywell Hill, Carin Hill & also a select few (mostly new-ish) aerials aimed at Clermont Carn in the town. How solid Clermont Carn's reception is I can't say but it must at least be usable in parts.
