Testing artex for asbestos?

Is there any independant testing available in Ireland for asbestos in artex? I'm not looking for a full property survey, I just have an artex ceiling(built in 1987) that is peeling/flaking and I'd just like to confirm that it's safe.

I would have thought such testing would be in high demand but Google does not throw up many options, which seems bananas to me. Preferably the people doing the testing aren't also the ones offereing asbestos removal.

The samples need sending back to a UK lab but still should work.

I went with the asbestos testing kit off Amazon. They're supposedly UK only but they do deliver to Ireland and I contacted them and they said that it shouldn't be an issue. We shall see, I only posted back the sample on Friday.

I did find a place in Dublin and they quoted me €250. Ludicrous.

Celtic Asbestos Consultancy in Baldoyle Dublin used to do asbestos testing as part of their service.
