Two chances to come away with points from the Scarlets 22 there. Blow both opportunities.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,691 ✭✭✭testtech05

We have blown a lot of field position and turned down a few kickable ones aswell

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,032 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Lasisi on for Bealham and immediate scrum pen conceded.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,691 ✭✭✭testtech05

Murphy again stupid. He's been very good since he came back in but having a poor night tonight

Penalty number 6 against Murphy is the dumbest of the lot.

Murphy has been a penalty machine but I think that was harsh, contact was made early they tangled and was nothing worse than the push near the connacht line, on cordero I think it was

Scarlets would have to be especially crap to not win from here as Connacht are doing everything in their power to gift Scarlets the win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,032 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Dear oh dear Mack. Ran right into trouble.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,122 ✭✭✭Shehal

Could not gift a team an easier penalty to take the lead, even Scarlet's cant screw this up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,095 ✭✭✭randomname2005

Even connacht couldn't screw it up here f it was reversed

    Now let's close this out

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,322 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Yeah would like to see us move Prendergast back to 6 and give Boyle a run at 8.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,095 ✭✭✭randomname2005

    Not pretty but important.

Nice to un Connacht it at the end for a change. Great kick by Forde. Maybe showed we shouldn't have been so eager to go to the corner every other time

Goodness me they made hard work of that.

Character to win it in spite of themselves though.

If they can channel the grit they showed to win it into making better decisions I'm sure it'll appease some fans (but I suspect not all…..)

In a tale of 2 Murphys. Ben was absolutely great. Josh was not

Mack made some decent plays towards the end and Forde has a reliable boot. Ugly win but we'll take it.

WInning an ugly one is always nice but that should have been put to bed in the first half. Too many entries to the 22 and nothing to show for it. Would 100% have lost that last year though so there seems to be a bit of belief at the moment.

Discipline has been really bad the last 2 games, Murphy should have seen a yellow. Surely that must be a record for the number of similar penalties given away without a card.

We weren't good, and Scarlet were no better, but a wins not to be sniffed at away from home.

We lose that game last year so definitely some progress.

Great win, good to back up last week's comeback too.

What a frustrating team. Ground it out in the end. Bonus point went a begging but it could easily have been a loss.

The scrum was concerning after Bealham was substituted, a tough debut for Lasisi. Hope Illo is back soon.

How long is Aungier gone with emerging Ireland for

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 887 ✭✭✭Zeugnis

Their last game, against the Cheetahs, is on Wednesday evening.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 887 ✭✭✭Zeugnis

See Tadgh McElroy is at 16 for Ulster v Bulls tomorrow. We'll probably be seeing him in Ravenhill in a week's time, a guy with a point to prove to Pete Wilkins I'd say…

    Fiachna Barrett here if needed/wished

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,981 ✭✭✭connachta

Same for McBurney the opposite way!

Some need rest, i'd go with

    Dooley

    DTM

    Bealham

    Murray

    Dowling

    Sean O'Brien (if available)

    SHL

    Boyle

    Blade

    Carty

    Aki

    Hawkshaw

    Bolton

    Hansen

    Jennings

    McBurney

    Buckley

    Barrett

    Murphy

    McCormack

    Murphy

    Ioane (if available)

    Cordero

We'll need Joe Joyce to add some grunt if he's available. And I see no reason why Blade should start over Murphy. And Forde.

Ulster has to be a game we're targeting, it was a tight battle last year and they're still transitioning with Richie Murphy.

Would prefer to see less rotation. That was a big issue last year. I think a lot of changes were made early today with an eye on keeping consistency in selection next week. At least I hope that was the reason. Prendergast will be out after failing the HIA. Would bring Boyle in for him. Leave the pack as is apart from that. Maybe Dowling for Murphy. In the backs I'd bring o Connor in to the center for Forde and bench him. Bolton on the wing. Nothing wrong but just manage his minutes, he'll be needed when Aki is away.

Apart from that keep as is. Jack V Ioane I'd a hard call IMO if both are available.

Edit. Joyce comes in as well if he's fit.
