Had standing tickets for the 3rd and it wouldn't process the payment (invalid post code) and got booted out of the queue to start again. Beyond raging! Haha. I need a drink

Wonder are there any tickets available for these two dates or have I missed the boat again.

Go there for 4th Sept, you should be able to get a pair of seated tickets still!

Its says this for the 3rd & 4th so looks like no presale tickets are left.

Imagine a world where Ticketmaster didn't allow a ridiculous amount of people into a queue, far exceeding the number of presale tickets available.

If there are only 10k or 20k or whatever amount of presale tickets available in the first place, then it shouldn't be possible to join a queue 3 or 4 times that amount. Another morning wasted ffs.

7th and 8th september on sale at 2/30pm for presale

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 677 ✭✭✭deeks

If they only have 20,000 tickets available how do you suggest they select the 20,000 people that they leave in and how do they know how many tickets each person wants?

I don't know.....maybe conduct some market research. But other than pissing people off and time wasting, I don't see the point in allowing the online queues to get so big.

Additionally, if everyone who looks for a presale code, gets a presale code, what is the point?

Fair enough it works for some lucky customers, but surely a lot more go without.

The fairest way is for bands to offer tickets to their fan clubs / members on a random basis, a bit like the presale for Oasis. If they have 80,000 tickets for a concert they ask their fans on their website to express interest. Then randomly assign codes that guarantee 4 tickets. If code is not used in 24hrs it is randomly reassigned.

Entering the waiting room to be randomly assigned to 200K in a queue is a waste of everyones time. Bots would be eliminated and touting significantly reduced

Was in the queue for the Sat 23rd show and was 65k odd and getting nowhere. Joined the queue for 3rd sept once it was announced and was number 1457. Got 2 standing in less than 5 mins for £112 each. Cheapest and most hassle free tickets I've got in a very long time. Beats the absolute **** show that was Oasis

Im going further back each time 😅 46k and 65k this morning, now 170k in the queue for the 7th.

    215k now. Great 🙃

When you enter the queue you have to state how many tickets you want and then you are tied to that amount when you get to checkout.

There can be a standby option for people prepared to just wait in case sales are not completed or people take less tickets than they said on entry to the queue - if you opt to join that then you take whatever the wait might be…

Thank you so much! Saw this at 14:29, joined the waiting room with seconds to spare and happened to get <10,000 in queue so picked up 2 standing for 7th!

Gas ... I was in the waiting room 63 mins before they opened the queue and was 215k

I was in the waiting room for 60 minutes, and I was 29,000 in the queue.

    It really is so random

Good to know..going by previous sales i didnt believe the Ticketmaster spiel of theres no advantage to getting in the queue as quick as possible..tomorrow will try jumping in last minute..nothing to lose👍

I got a ticket for the last presale Sunday in September.

By the time I got it I was so tired I didn't feel happy.

I was In the queue for 6 hours today. They definitely take all the joy out of buying tickets.

I joined 15mins early for Sun 7th and was 133k in the queue. I wasted another half day and am fuming right now. Same thing for the last three concerts. I'm not holding out any hope for tomorrow and they'll prob increase the prices as well. There needs to be an alternative or change the system somehow.

Is there over a quarter million people waiting in each of these 10 queues for presale? Imagine what tomorrow will be like

Very interesting thing happened an hour after I’ve purchased my tickets. I’ve received a call from someone pretending to be calling from my bank to talk to me about suspicious transaction of the amount that tickets were purchased for. I was asked if that amount was transferred to someone with the last name Miller and when I’ve said no, I was told that I was scammed so I need to answer couple of security questions so transaction could be reversed. To note another funny thing, person calling me spoke to me in Russian although I’m different nationality, but happens that I can speak Russian. When I confronted that I wasn’t scammed but that’s exactly what they are trying to do, I was told to have a nice day and they hung up.
Now I’m just wondering where this data leak came from. Was it TM account or my email or the bank? Has anyone ever experienced something similar to this?

What I find mad about this is anyone can join the queue, and you only need the presale code afterwards. TM should really ask for the presale code to allow you join the queue, would definitely cut down the numbers a bit.

I was so lucky to get 4 seated for the first night Friday 22nd August was looking for 5 but will have to leave someone at home🤣Initially had the Saturday open on another device for about 20 mins before the sale and got in at 24000 in queue. This device was connected by cable to modem. Then just decided to open app on phone too at 9am exactly and got 14000 on that queue for Friday and got the tickets there…. No logic to it!! Previously I was kicked out for having two devices open!!
