Speedmaster running 10 seconds fast per day

I've no experience with Omega but assuming it gained ten sec all of a sudden I'd do as you have and de mag.

Can I ask, what did you use, exactly how did you use it and how many times?

I've used IrishParcels to ship a Speedie north to NI, but the insurance is often limited.

You'll get about 1500 or 2k, but beyond that it is limited.

If it has just been shipped, it is possible it got magnetised as a result of all the scanning on the way.

I've just shipped a Rolex with UPS to Germany. I've done the same to the US before as well. About €90 insured for €6k in both cases.

I was going to ask if 10sec per day is even outside the spec? Are Speedies Cosc or Metas certified?

Id say its within expectations so .Thats not to say it couldnt be improved by someone familir with that movement but I wouldnt think its a warranty claim.

seamaster definitely more accurate than previous model Speedies. Ive checked accuracy on a few of mine with an app I use for keeping details of the collection.Obviously not as accurate as a time grapher but gives an idea.Note the spring drive perfection as to be expected compared to the rest .
