    No need for a third week on this. Like it or not, this subject has slipped well down the news cycle due to the usual news conveyor belt anyway. Only in Joe’s mind is this still a high priority item. For the actual initial issue with the dodgy priests, the process to deal with that is in train. New week, make a clean break and get dealing with all the other issues on the go right now.

    We haven’t had Whacker calling in to say the Apple money could be given to the OPW to build a shed in everyone’s garden or Joe from Cork saying a motorway could be built to his house.

    I don't know.

    It's easy, lazy radio that requires f-all research or prep work. He can just land on at 12pm and listen to the same regurgitated stuff for the 10th day in a row or whatever it is.

    And when it comes to campaigning for the Presidential election, Joe can lean on him being to voice as anybody whoever got a slap in school.

    It is mad how they have so many voice actors ready to go with their dramatic readings of emails, but can't get any of them to read out the relevant contact details of helplines available to those impacted?

    Just a rushed "oh you can find the helplines on the RTE website" - to a generation who can struggle with finding things online at the best of time, let alone in a website as difficult to navigate as rte.ie.

    At this point I suspect the senior producers that Joe references at the end of the show are a pile of mannequins that Joe has lined up with their arms reached out to high 5 as he leaves the studio in triumph.

    Joe was de brainy lad who went to Trinners. I don't see him getting too many whacks/clatters at school.

    The first caller two weeks ago compared the Christian Brothers to de Gestapo. If Joe and his researchers bothered to do some work, they could have Joe's fellow Trinity scholar Uki Goñi on to talk about being taught French with SS efficiency.
