Just wondering does anyone else have a problem with sky talk. I cancelled my broadband and talk 2 weeks from end of contract and they are telling me that they don't have my uan number as the contract is closed. My new provider needs this so I can keep my old number. Spent nearly an hour between waiting on the call to be picked up and talking to sky agent who was adamant that there is nothing they can do.

Just use your SKY account number as the UAN, it's generally used by telecoms companies to identify and release your number for porting. I think it's only EIR that call it a UAN, others just call it an account number.
