Recently got FTTH installed with Eir. Our previous (and still current) setup is...

F3000 > Nest WiFi Router > Nest APs

With the addition of the ONT, am I right in saying I can ditch the F3000 and plug the Nest Router directly into the ONT? Doesn't that act as a modem?

Can you tag VLANs in Nest WiFi now? I know there were issues with the 1st gen but not sure about the 2nd gen ones or

No you can’t. You need managed switch with VLAN tagging to give it VLAN 10 on WAN port.
I have posts on how to do this with TP Link model (€30) from few months back.

Hey. Just jumping back into this.

I'm stuck with Google Nest for my setup (for now) but am looking at putting in TP-Link Deco X20 for my mother's house instead.

Would this system allow me to drop the Eir router entirely?
