It's my favourite Coldplay song. I had a sign asking for Ink, but I'm equally as happy Everglow was played. The fact it was dedicated to those we've lost made it more special.

I had my sweets confiscated but my mate had his gin cans and other pharmaceuticals snuck in. Absolutely ridiculous.

anyone know why on friday night the bar for the pitch was cloased at 9:30pm? was barely anyone in the q as well
i asked the steward he said they always close 20 mins b4 show ends even though i pointed out to him that show wasnt over until 10:45, he just ignored me. Made no sense, could understand if there was loads of people there and they wanted the q to calm down by close time

Yes its a great song, and only 3 minutes long too, it will fit in well with their new stuff.

We were treated to Charlie Brown on Friday night, but no Everglow, which is one of my favourites.

We managed to get very close to the stage in Pitch C (3rd row). It was absolutely amazing, but I also feel like 2017 was tad bit better. Still - amazeballs.

On a side note, a girl in front of me was veeeeeeeeery eager to get on the stage with her banner, to the point that she was holding it up before the band went even on stage. Also, giving elbows to girl next to her, causing bit of unnecessary drama. It was sad to watch, she didn't seem to fully enjoy the gig, focused on her banner and her spot instead.

I'm willing to travel to London next year, hopefully they will announce their plans soon!

On Sunday night there were 2 ladies in front of us at the turnstile who only had one ticket between them.

I changed turnstile so I don’t know if they were let in or not.

I found security very helpful and friendly all evening

Had two teens or early 20s standing on the back of our legs and f#cking screeching in our ears any time CM went by (we were at the runway barrier). They didn't seem to have a lyric between them and were more interested in recording the concert. I take a pic or vid myself and put the phone away. The problem with one of them was she was about 6 foot, stood behind me, yet I spent more time looking at her phone with the long arms on her. Then we had eye watering stinkies the other side of us. If you see any vids of a miserable looking c#nt up front it's probably me.

We were lucky to stand in a similar spot in 2017 and I'd goosebumps that night.

Would've loved to hear Politik in Croker, wasn't expecting it in Frankfurt and it blew my socks off, one of their best IMO and a nice surprise. I remember I was the only person belting it out and standing in my section, the crowd didn't seem to know it at all😅

Feel so cheated as ours weren't hearts, they were crosses so as a glasses wearer was more like when it's raining at night on a windscreen or if you have astigmatism 🤣

I was wondering that I never saw hearts on mine! I had crosses too

Thankfully the crowd around me were great. I've had my fair share of concerts spoiled by obnoxious people in the crowd though, most recently at Kings of Leon when 3 people barged their way to the front at 10pm as if they were always there, and those of us who were there for 5 hours had to tell them to f off and it turned into a bit of a spat of them telling us to f off.

I've got security involved a few times this year. I do not let anyone get past me but if they do not back off security are happy to get involved. I had 2 lads marched out of Marlay Park when very drunk and one trying to sit of the other's shoulders (and failing, falling in to me and others). At AC/DC security told one guy who repeatedly tried barging into me to get further back, and at Coldplay on Thursday one girl behind me got very distressed when someone tried barging through. Security told them to go back and I made space for the girl at the barrier - before long I think she had completely forgotten about it.

I made the mistake of going to the toilet after Maggie on the Thursday, people were fairly obliging as I made my way out away from the barrier.

Spent about 15 minutes in 2 different queues on the way back trying to get some drinks, a load of missed calls from herself and I'd to abort thinking she'd lost our spots. My God, absolute gridlock. The looks of disgust I was getting as I was pleading my case to get by people. Tried my best to take the same route back thinking I'd be somewhat remembered and be let through by some.

Only a hundred meters but it was the hardest walk and squeeze I've ever had. Had two separate instances where people made it their business not to let me through and I had to re-route. That was the poxy thing about that B section, there seemed to be no limit to the amount of people they let in. Sat there for hours, then ye get c#nts only after arriving due to their lack of a wristband blocking your way back. Manners seems to go out the window in such situations with some people.

To be fair most people don't know you're on your way back to a spot you already had. As far as they are concerned its more likely you are the one arriving late and trying to barge your way through so calling them c*nts is more than a touch harsh.

Absolutely, I'd be skeptical about it myself though I think it's easy enough to spot chancers barging through at the last minute and someone explaining why they're trying to get through the crowd.

I wasn't referring to all I encountered but rather a couple of individuals that IMO, behaved like c#nts, and one who used her arse to try prevent me from getting by. She succeeded. It was absolute grid lock so there was no barging past people, I'd not do it anyway.

Anyone I encountered were politely asked to allow me to pass and I'd a pain in my hoop explaining myself but I did. Got back in the end thanks to those who allowed me to squeeze past, the ones that didn't and were only short of telling me to f off, weren't there hours like many of us, hence the label c#nts. It's a perfect word to describe c#nty behavior, nothing harsh about it.

Loads of people left for the bar/toilet during both Don't Panic and Sparks on Friday night. Parachutes must not be listened to by the newer Coldplay fan.

Was going to say the same thing. It was actually hard to hear them at times due to the amount of talking noise around the stadium while they were being played.

Anything other than the big singles was probably unknown to most of the crowd.

I sold a ticket back to ticketmaster on friday night for the sunday night show. It was bought straight away. When we arrived i asked the girl who was sitting in the seat where she had bought the ticket and she said gigsberg for 490e :0. Was it a bot that had bought my ticket or are the touts just living on the ticketmaster site? ill have some more in demand tickets to offload but this has turned me off from selling them back at face value.

That's mad. Probably just someone making a quick buck and being opportunistic when they saw your ticket available. Such a shame though that someone made a profit off it when you were doing the decent thing.

Jesus, between ticketmaster themselves with their in demand pricing and the bots hoovering up tickets, it's clear the whole system is broken, and it's pretty sickening.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,585 ✭✭✭✭Exclamation Marc

Bots didn't hoover up tickets. Go back only a few pages and there's plenty of posters here saying they got tickets through resale in the weeks leading up to the gig (in addition to two of my friends from work). If the bots were indeed "hoovering up tickets", that simply wouldn't have happened. Unless I dunno, the big bad (phantom) bots take lunch breaks… 😂😂

Ticketmaster are overly aggressive on bots which you'll have seen with rakes of real people being kicked off Ticketmaster trying to buy Oasis tickets because TM thought they were bots. Sometimes people are unfortunately unable to comprehend how in-demand gigs are.

Its clear that you don't have a clue what you are talking about but that doesn't stop you continuously giving an opinion.

There are bots constantly active on Ticketmaster, alot are manual checkout.

The bot carts the tickets but the operator has to actually check out manually, so if nobody is there to do that the tickets will be released.

That is why you often see the same tickets appearing over and over again, they are carted but not checked out.

Sometimes a person may get a dropped cart.

Other times people can buy more expensive tickets, the 300 euro plus ones as these are not profitable to resell.

So yes it is possible to buy resale tickets, its just very difficult, as evidenced by the many posters who spent months trying to buy resale tickets.

You're one of the most misinformed nonsense-talkers on this forum.

"The bot carts the tickets but the operator has to actually check out manually, so if nobody is there to do that the tickets will be released.".

By that logic, the unpurchased tickets would immediately be put in the basket by the next bot and they'd still never be able to be bought by a 'real user'. Or is there just one sad bot in operation that gives up after being rejected.

Your whole shtick on bots is as follows:

    • When people can't get tickets: "It's the bots! You haven't a chance of getting tickets".
    • When MULTIPLE people can get tickets: "Ehhh, that doesn't count".

Keep believing what you want. The clever people in the room know that you're talking rubbish. You're just looking foolish when people do pick up tickets in resale.

Jaysus, for all the "love and acceptance" this band portray there's a lack of it in this thread from time to time from "fans".

Plenty of sarcasm and gaslighting during the concerts and in the run-up.

Bots must have been taking the resale tickets.

There wasn't even a capctha on the resale website.
