Justin Barrett has created a new right wing party

To be fair to Litler, much as I dislike being fair to him, he's not trying to help with any perceived or actual need for a(nother) centre-right party (to add to the many we already have). He's an unreconstructed Nazi. Why would he want to be mixed up with a centre-right party?

Yeah he's not the answer to the huge inbalance in Irish politics. It's crying out for a charismatic right wing person to stand up and be counted. I always hoped it would be Michael O Leary or someone a little further to the right.Like the problems we have are huge. Military and police are under resourced . The defence forces are in an absolute state. The migrant issue isn't being tackled only mismanaged. We have alot of fear based politicians and let's not start on the media. Have we one right wing outlet besides Gript which is excellent 👌

Because, I suspect, the ultimate fantasy is not to get elected - it is to seize power. Democracy is an inconvenience to these fantasists.

Their entire business model is to convert money from unknown backers and use it to peddle fear of "the other".

I find Gript very fair and the journalists ask politicians the questions I want to know through answers to. It's a beacon of light in Irelands group think left wing media. I haven't once come across any racism on their site or among their contributors. I find the Spectator an excellent read aswell. I subscribe to both . McGuirk the editor of Gript id rate very highly.. the recent piece about Interpol showing there's 97% of internal threats in Ireland coming from the left wing and republicanism is enlightening. It's what we all know.. the far right myth is there so as to distract with our huge left wing issue...

Their readership base is a group of people who have their minds made up, think there's a left wing conspiracy to control the world and just seek of confirmation bias of their opinion, which Gript are willing to do for them in spades.

Sounds like you just want to have your own opinions reflected back at you. Don't fool yourself into thinking you are getting objective news and analysis though.

What media in Ireland is actually "far-left"?

The only one that I can think of is The Ditch, which much like Gript is a jumped up blog. However at least The Ditch do plenty of original investigative journalism unlike Gript.

If you think the Irish Times, the Irish Independent, RTE or The Irish Examiner are far left then it just shows how skewed your own political compass is.
