Has anyone bought laptop from the site refurbed.ie? Was it reliable and exceeded expectations?

I bought a refurbed lenovo for my daughter about 8 weeks ago, so far, all is good. Delivery took about ten days longer than was promised though and iirc it came from Poland.

I was also a bit annoyed that the laptop arrived supplied with an EU 2 pin charger and an adaptor, rather than a UK 3 pin one. I would have paid extra for a UK charger but was not given that option.

Would I use the site again? Yes, most likely. But not for anything super expensive. The laptop I bought was a small 12.5" and I think it was €219.

There are some thread on the Consumer board where some posters have experienced some problems with the site. A quick google will bring them up.

I got a phone through them. Chose "excellent " quality and it was perfect. Have it a few months now, no issues. 12 month warranty with it.

Would anyone have a screenshot or picture of an invoice? I have asked for a sample but they cannot provide one. I just need to see the VAT section breakdown as I want to purchase through a company. Thanks

Here is the section from an invoice I got from Bloomtree (Denmark), who were the seller through Refurbed for this machine:

I ordered a second machine via Refurbed, that was sent by Xera (Italy), but no invoice was provided. The order wasn't for business purposes, so I wasn't bothered.

    Concerned user of Refurbed.ie here.
Previously got an iPad off it without issue, but got a MacBook Air which arrived today with screen damaged.

    I wanted a replacement.

Seller is saying ‘Our technical department has viewed the photo you sent us. Unfortunately, it is clearly visible that the display is damaged due to an impact or fall, and the liquid crystals on the display have broken. Unfortunately, these damages are not covered by the warranty. Regards.’

Is this a joke or what? What can I do now? Product was marked as ‘excellent’.

I literally opened within 30 mins of receiving.
