Identify an insect

Can anyone identify this bug?

It was quite big and it it is the second dead one I have found in the kitchen.

Font think I’ve ever seen this type before.

It's a May Bug or Cockchafer. Quite common around this time of the year, for obvious reasons :)

They appear as regular as clockwork every year, almost as regularly as threads asking what they are :)

I have never heard of it or seen it before.

Does it only appear in rural areas? Been here two years and this is the first appearance.

Hi anyone know what insect this is? It's on allot of growing ragwort weed. It looks to be living off the ragwort flower. Possibly killing the plant?thanks in advance

that's the caterpillar of the cinnabar moth; it specialises on ragwort.

Does it eat kill the ragwort? by any chance..each ragworts flowering has about 7-15 on each..

sorry I missed your response at the time somehow. Bit late now but no new lighting.

Haven’t seen anymore of them but a few wasp have fallen out of the sky.

Anyone know what this is? It's about 2cm long (including the "antlers") and has wings although I haven't seen it fly yet
