That post is not what the warning was issued for.

Plus receptionists controlling access to GPs is relevant to the topic.

I won't be engaging any further and the mod can delete or remove whatever they like. Its not worth my time or effort.

But this kind of BS is why this forum is dying.

    Good job 👏

why would it take patience and tolerance ? :). Quite a personal remark… and then you go on to comment on ‘nicely ‘ and ‘being a prat ?’… is that civil from you. ? I’m quite civil with anyone I deal with there :). ..and you haven’t been given cause to think or presume otherwise.

By the way the call isn’t made by anyone but the receptionist…. In the case I’m talking about.

Either my standards are very low or I seem to have the best GP! When it's for a repeat prescription, I usually phone for an appointment 2-3 weeks in advance. Its a really busy surgery so to avoid any panics with the prescription running out I ring a few weeks ahead.

If I'm sick and need an appointment, they will squeeze me in even though its like a conveyor belt of appointments. A few years ago I had the winter vomiting bug and at day 5 I needed help. I thought he'd throw me out the door, but he was so so good and kind. Same for the kids in fact he'd probably see the kids before me 😀. My eldest had a few issues last year and my goodness the gp was terrifically accommodating.

There may be a couple of times that aren't coming to mind that it didn't work out, but I can't recall them now. Overall it works OK.

Closing thread, very disappointing level of posting from a lot of generally good contributors.. I guess we've learned that GP's are over stretched and under resourced in a lot of places.. That's hardly news though
