    they are fairly poor at newsreading in fairness. the overnight presenters say on the BBC are very polished.

    06/07/2024 "What it says in the papers" was on today, Saturday.

    So, to summarise, "What it says in the papers" might or might NOT be broadcast on a Saturday 😠

    Seems a very casual approach on the part of our taxpayer and licence payer funded national broadcaster 😠

    same could be said for "Radio 1 replay" (the best of the days radio) at 2am, sometimes it's on, most times it's not.

    Sent an email to RTE querying the absence of It Says in the Papers on weekend mornings. Here's the reply:

    Somewhat unsatisfactory as I made the point in my email that I thought it quite disrespectful to listeners that no explanation has been given on air on weekend mornings and they just carry on as if It Says in the Papers never existed on weekend mornings but this point hasn't been addressed in their response.
