I believe Dublin is the only option at the moment. You could hedge your bets and hold out to see if new dates in cork will be added.

Or at least contact support and ask them if any cork collections are possible.

yeah I’ve emailed them so will see what the response would be. I can head to Dublin as I’d prefer the car sooner rather than later. Just a trek up there 😂

a rake of Model 3's just popped up on the Tesla website as arriving soon, I was onto their chat and arriving soon = last week in July

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 19,822 Mod ✭✭✭✭slave1

..which is the same date as existing orders so if you have one ordered the same config as those on the website there's no point in switching your reservation

Just got a vin assigned and asked to accept tesla vision clause.

Stuff is starting to move it seems. Have a delivery window which will likely get pushed too.

Wow, nearly 30 model 3's just showed up in the inventory!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,634 ✭✭✭Redfox25

None are in country though, just unsold. Spoke to sales team and unlikely to be here before 20th of the month.

Does that mean if you have an order already placed, you will be getting it from that batch though (provided it matches with one of them) and these are excess cars? Or can anything be read from it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 959 ✭✭✭JOL1

These are cars available to new purchasers however indicative of arrival of a large shipment which would most likely include cars already palced. If you have a VIN you have a car allocated.

I placed an order on 28th May for the white RWD, 38.607

I see there is one now in inventory, would that mean mine is on the way do you think? No email or updates in the app/account.

Ring them and ask them to match your order to the one in stock, that or on the sales page click on the chat button and ask there. Easier if you ring them.

    Good luck with it

No point in this, the current list of Arriving Soon are on the same boat and will arrive to Ireland at the same time as existing orders

Checked the app and have 30 July - 14 Aug now as delivery

Anybody got HP finance for Tesla and paid off early, any penalties?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 959 ✭✭✭JOL1

Your contact will define what terms apply for early termination.. these are not penalties but fees may arise for early termination…these will be set out in the terms of your contract

What model/variant if you don't mind me asking?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18 citizen1110

Currently will be collecting my MY in two weeks time. Just want to double check that I’m not missing anything ahead of collection. I’ll be swapping my insurance to the new car once I get the reg. Do I also need to tax it before collection? Anything else I’m missing outside of the Tesla process?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 19,822 Mod ✭✭✭✭slave1

You dont need to tax before collection, just tax when you get home, Tesla may ask for insurance etc but they don't need it so just ignore, after than just update your Toll account if you have one and smile on the way home.

Model 3, it's literally 2 posts above the one you quoted

All those model 3's showing as arriving soon, anyone know if that could be the Malacca highway. Looks to be landing tomorrow from zebrugge. I have a delivery date of the 19th July to 3rd August. That would allow time for movement to the NVD and then to Tesla? Or is it normally quicker once the ship lands?

week commencing July 21st is the earliest delivery date in July is what I was told on chat last week

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12 aidocore

Based on all the different people who are tracking the Tesla ships, that seems unlikely. The Torreador ship is currently off the north west coast of Africa en route to Zebrugge via Southampton first and is carrying Teslas. It’s due to arrive is Zebrugge on July 17th. Then once it’s unloaded, another ship (usually Thames Highway) brings a load to Dublin port. It’s very hard to say exactly but based off all that the shipment would arrive in Dublin 20/21st July.

Got the text last night that my arrival date will be calculated soon and reply if I am not ready. Would that still match up with the Torreador arriving?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12 aidocore

I would assume so, although a car transporter delivery was made to Cork 2 days ago, no idea where those cars came from. Perhaps leftover stock from the last ship that came in finally making their way ro Cork. Or perhaps some cars came in on the Thames Highway ship from Zebrugge last week that had been sitting in Zebrugge for approx 3 weeks

Has anyone gotten a date and time for delivery for the 18 Jul to 02 Aug slot yet?

    Cheers

I got the same range as these dates.

Anyone know how accurate they are once they give a date?
