Let me be serious for a moment.

What they are talking about is true, but its not sport. Its everything. Once girls hit about 12/13 a large percentage of them stop doing everything that they used to do.

I used to be involved in CoderDojo. In the 10-12 section it would be 50/50 boy/girl. The 13-15 age group over the course of a summer becomes 80% male. I dont know why, but its not just a sporting thing. I'm sure anyone involved in the Scouts would say something similar.
