    Hi,

    I have a semi detached house.

    The garden length is 10mts by width 8mts.

    There is a garage opposite the semi detached side.

    The garage wall and the garden wall are also the boundry walls for the small council park , on the other side .

    This means that I have no way of entering or exiting my garden other than through the house.

    I want to insert a door in the wall to give me an exit from the garden..

    Do I need permission for this ? Cork City Council ,

    Hard to follow so guessing you want to access the garden via the council park?

    IF you opened a door out in the back wall of the garage would that work

    “I can’t pay my staff or mortgage with instagram likes”.

    You want to add an entrance/exit to the garden wall. So you can enter/exit from he park.

    That is possible. It requires planning permission.

    Best to ask around locally. I've seen it done without issue. But that was in Dublin. cork might take a different view.

    Generally yes. But that would be where the gate exits on to a public road or pathway over which there is a right of way or similar.

    Access other property might not be as easy. Council park should be easier than say private property.

    Hi,

    Just to clarify..

    The wall is 7" tall.

    It runs from the front of the house to the back of my garden.

    There is a small park on the other side of the wall.

    I have no means of exiting my garden other than through the house.

    This means that a lawnmower , for instance, has to be hoisted over the wall !

    Or some items just can't ..
