Paul Auster died at his home in Brooklyn on Tuesday at the age of 77.

He was probably best known for The New York Trilogy but I hadn't realised he was also involved in several films, both as writer and director.

I have The Invention of Solitude and The Music of Chance sitting on a shelf waiting to be read and in light of his passing I may get to them a bit sooner than I had planned.

Hadn’t heard he died. I’ve a copy of ‘Leviathan’ on the shelf for a long time that I’ve always pushed back in favour of something else. Will have to give it a go now.
