On the shelf with the other stocks and sauces in my local.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,749 ✭✭✭uli84

But if the shelf/product code doesn’t match the one in the app then the discount won’t be applied I guess, well either way it’s 50c only :D

So are Lidl allowing the discount or not allowing it? I'm confused.

haha problem solved toilet roll disappeared from my app altogether :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 679 ✭✭✭EarWig

The standard rolls were not to be found. By me anway.

And they were the real bargain. Plenty of the other one there.

A sort of bait and switch.

My local had a pallet full of those standard rolls this morning, no promo SEL on them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,245 ✭✭✭✭zell12

UK Lidl, they have a new treat everyday you shop, spend 1p+, and it is good, better than the pastries&chocs we got. We want this LIDL IE!!

Wow, that's a super promotion. And it's not full of junk cheap chocolates. I'd wager that's subsidised by the government to promote healthy eating, so 0% chance our idiots would ever push for this.

Sounds brilliant - hated the fact that much of the freebies over here back in the good old days were junk food and quite unhealthy.

Enterprising cafe owners could send multiple staff to buy a tin of beans each, then get all their fruit free, offer it a reduced cost to customers, to drive footfall, for the next month 💡

They also changed it over there so you don't have to activate your qpons, they "just work".

60 minutes between 1p+ purchase too, lol. But only a 50% win-rate. Excludes NI, because they have "Ireland" in the name I'm guessing.

they seem to have switched out the honey/apple juice/orange juice with Fruit salad/pineapple/melon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 49 ruth123456

That's because customers have to pay that ridiculous return deposit on juice 😞

Anyone else notice the super strange condition for claiming the Champion league semi final tickets in the app? If you win the draw then you are required to "complete a test of skill" before claiming the prize! Hope it's not a football skills test, I am useless . .

That's standard and is to get around gambling laws. Will normally just be a very easy question

    One solitary pear?! 😂

I actually logged on to say despite far fewer freebies these days, they still have, eh miscalculated, stock levels. I was in 3 lidls this week and no Artic bars to be found. And naturally the code expired today.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,049 ✭✭✭geographica

Joking aside, they certainly get “fizzy” do the melon produce carbon dioxide or something? 🤔 and yes the top of the carton bulges, maybe it’s nitrogen put into it for freshness 🤷🏼‍♂️
