That's a distinct possibility. The man is a workaholic and the family bickering probably didn't help his health.

Most people would be long retired by his age, yet he like Biden/Trump/Pope is in one of the most demanding jobs in the world.

Maybe abdication and letting youth have a go would be a good thing. I see no actual benefit from any of these old men in charge.

An interesting theory this evening that the Cambridge's marriage is on the ropes and one or possibly even both sides are using the media to score points against each other (think Charles vs Diana circa 94/95).

Something that ties in with this is that some royal watchers suspect that William gave the Sun and the Mail the go ahead to publish that shopping photo yesterday (to what end though is not entirely clear).

The theory would be that William is trying to get one over on Kate and is using his media pals to help him.

There's definitely something weird going on behind the scenes - the couple at war with each other (possibly over his infidelities) is as plausible a theory as any.

She definitely looks way younger in the video, so makes me wonder is it her or are we so used to seeing her made up that she usually looks older or was it recorded some time back? It's very strange the whole lot of it.

This is just getting weirder and weirder. Either the press are totally in on this or someone is trying to distract them with constant "Hey, look over there!" stories.

Was she even in that London hospital and did she even have surgery? I'm not sure we can believe a word that's printed in the press at this stage. It all seems suspiciously like a big smokescreen for something else.

Having looked at the video of the couple numerous times and did some reading about it online, its clearly and obviously not them for numerous reasons.

It was shot by a guy who then sold it to TMZ. Its probable the couple were actors paid by him.

Kate appears to have made a miraculous recovery in the video, looks years younger, carrying her own shopping and so on while supposedly in recovery mode. Very unlikely.

In addition there isn't one bodyguard to be seen, also extremely unlikely.

Not buying it, clever from the guy who sold it to TMZ though. The Sun are even claiming it as an exclusive of the pair of them.

Just saw another photo from 2015 of William with the Queen that's been flagged as doctored. Seems to be a new one every day.

This was filmed with their consent. It was them. They put this out there to quell the rumours that Catherine is.......take your pick - dead, in a coma, disfigured, seriously ill, etc...

Maybe she did have a facelift. Its definitely her in the video and definitely him. The internet is just going crazy with speculation. She will be back in public in 2 weeks time.

Yeah it’s an extraordinary separation of interests - not mind a bad thing as together all they’ve been able to do is b1tch and moan like we do on the thread.

If they’re secure from a monetary perspective (all things are relative) , then Harry could devote time to what apparently was his passion that is/was Africa? It will be a good test to see if he can stand on his own two feet- also will be interested if he does pursue projects like supporting African communities or was that just something to do whist part of the working RF? Time will tell .

Not sure if Meaghan will succeed - leaving aside her current approval rating by the public which I doubt is very high, just not sure how much pulling power she has overall or just how she’ll push through - how many people will want to purchase a Meaghan pencil case shaped like a banana with a pithy saying written in marker ?

I think Suits became more popular once she married Harry. Curiosity maybe? She wasn't a "star" of the show, but hey ho, good luck to her if she goes back to acting.

My taste in tv series is more "Scandi Noir", but that probably explains a lot about my predilections!!
