Hi all, thinking of getting a loader (MF80) for my tractor (MF 290). If anyone has a similar set up can ye tell me if it’s capable of lifting the modern silage bales, also is there anything I should be checking for in my tractor before I buy the loader. Thanks in advance

It won't lift chopped fusion bales any great height off the ground.

The tractor won't travel far unless on concrete or very firm ground with a bale on the loader.

If it was my 290 I wouldn't put a loader on with a plan to lift bales

Get an mf85 if ya can they're a stronger loader.

Both will/should lift a fusion bale without much fuss all the same.
