    hi,

over the last number of years the wild rabbit population on farm here and neighbouring farms is taking over, theres always been a handfull of rabbits on the bohreens and a small scatteringing in the fields but as of late theres hundreds, in particular on silage fields where they are decimating crops, on my farm alone, they have taken 40ft from the ditch (which they have destroyed)around 500 yards long, thats on my side, resembles more a lawn now that grass producing field, the neighbours side doesnt look great either, anyone any experience in dealing with this? the ditch they take refuge in has a deep enough dike either side of it and im told wouldn't suit ferrets, is it still possible to get an infected myxy rabbit in ireland and intruduce him for culling purposes?
