I bought a jumper in Pennys once. One of the arms was shorter than the other two.

I've found clothes from Dunnes and Tesco quite good quality. They aren't bad on prices either.

Dunnes is very decent for tshirts, socks, underwear, pyjamas and the odd jumper.

Never bought anything in pennys, but their shops are usually full of women when I do go in for a look. Rarely see many men in there by themselves so I presume mens clothes are bought mainly by WAGs.

I bought suit pants in Tesco once, the only place open at 8pm. They were rubbish, but they did the job.

Honestly most men don't put too much thought into clothes. So long as they're clean and they fit alright. My friend swears by shirts in M&S, though they can cost up to 50euro.

I get all my socks in Primark, occasionally boxers too.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I only ever go to Penneys for socks, jocks and tracksuit bottoms. Everything else is usually of dubious quality there. Dunnes I usually get most of my work shirts and chinos in Dunnes and it’s decent quality.

I get clothes from wherever my wife buys them for me. I'm in the "I don't care too much what my clothes look like" category.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

I buy my boxers from Penney's. Buying 14 pairs of the same type at a time.

Every 6 months, out with the old 14 pairs to be replaced with the new 14 pairs.

Quality can be fairly poor in Pennys, but some dunnes stuff is good I got a Paul galvin fleece and it's wearing great as do the jeans.

Coincidentally, I pick up 14 pairs of part-worn boxer shorts from my local clothes bank every 6 months.

You're obsessed with clothes and dress sense. Perhaps learning how to launder your clothes would be time better spent. I buy clothes in all kinds of stores, some cheap and cheerful, some expensive and designer. What does it matter? Not a heap.

I used to buy branded jeans only, until the missus bought me a pair from pennys a few years ago. I was surprised by the quality for the price, some of the pennys jeans have as good a fit as the branded stuff, and last almost as long. For 12 - 18 euro, compared to 70 plus for branded, its Pennys all the way for me

Penny's is the only place that sells comfortable jeans. They have a kind of stretchable crotch. All the other ones Ive tried are as tight as camels arse in a sandstorm.

I buy in Dunnes, Next and M&S mainly these days. I try not to spend more than €100 on any particular item of clothing. I don’t bother much with pennies.

But half my wardrobe is stuff I buy when out in Tenerife. Some good shops out there with brands I don’t see for sale in Ireland. Great for T-Shirts, jeans, jackets even too.

Dunnes, i WFH and have a huskie. Every time i put on a clean hoodie it last 3.7 seconds before it has been huskied. I find the dunnes clothes puts up with being huskied very well and i dont feed bad about it being destroyed.

Anyone who doesn't like to waste money and has enough self confidence not to be obsessed with what other people think of you.

The clothes alone do not make the man, the man makes the clothes

Regardless of where you buy your clothing, proper fitting, clean and tidy appearance can make any brand look good.

I've seen people wear Armani suits who looked like 10lbs of **** in a 5lb bag and others who have worn Pennys finest look like they are on the red carpet
