    It's powered at the indoor monitor via a plug and there's a 4-core link between it and outside doorbell

    It looks like a 12v doorlock can be powered directly from monitor or else via a contact at doorbell and a separate power supply

    Be careful, all of this chinese video intercom are far away from rain proof, rain leaks to camera, will start calling and waking you up on middle of night, of course nobody will be on the gate.

    thanks for this, good input. decided that the best thing is to try to get a 5 wire comelit as replacement for the existing system. then hook up a ring intercom for remote access.
