These 12:30 kick offs are such poor entertainment. Premier league should have binned them but TNT will be showing them until 2029. Not a great investment for them.

Is Paul Scholes watching some other game ?

Bruno and Evans both immediately booked for minor dissent. I've no issue with the rule as there is too much of it in the game, will be interesting to see if its imposed across all games. Arse vs Pool later will likely be chock full of it.

Lovely goal by West Ham, the pass from Paqueta over the top. A bit of good fortune getting the rebound off Onana.

    Dreadful from ManU. As usual.

    2-0

2-0 West Ham. Well finished, poor mistake by Mainoo.

The continued faith Utd fans have in ETH is mad stuff altogether, like Stockholm Syndrome or something. A lucky draw in Anfield doesn’t cover up for how shambolic they have been at times this season.

    Kudos to Mainoo.

This will be West Ham's first back to back victories against Man United since 2007. Commentator was saying Man United haven't had a single shot in the second half after 80 minutes. Up steps Rashford to blaze a shot from distance miles over the bar.

This is also now Man United's longest goalless streak since 1989.

Kudus has settled well into the PL.

Pacqueta is great and has been linked to Man City and personally I think Bowen could play for any club in the league, if not most clubs in Europe. If either of them leave next summer, Kudus will be a brilliant player to have in the squad with the added experience behind him.

There's a lot of bookings for dissent lately.

We aren't privy to what's being said on the pitch, as the refs are not mic'd up, but is it possible that the players are constantly in the ears of the ref and are giving dissent and that the bookings are for overstepping the mark? As in a 'I've taken enough crap, here's a yellow, now stop' kinda thing.

With Bruno as captain, it's not too farfetched. He's a pure moaner and could be rubbing off on others.

If refs kept this up across games for a couple of match weekends that would virtually stamp it out. Managers would immediately start sending teams out under instructions not to give any lip whatsoever to the officials

13th defeat of the season in all competitions and we are only at Christmas.

Nothing positive to take out of that game for United, brutal stuff.

Yeah that's what I was saying in a roundabout way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,924 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Just the second time in 33 years that Man United are outside the top 6 at Christmas.

The stats are damning everywhere for Man United. 13 defeats in all competitions before Christmas. Worst record for them in 93 years.

These are worse than when Solsklaer was in charge. Fortunate too that ref didn’t give Evans a second yellow twice.

Ten Hagg breaking lots of records this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,924 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

    U

He's breaking his own records too. United lost 12 games in all competitions last season from 62 matches. He's now lost 13 games already and we're only at the beginning of Christmas, not even halfway through the season, 26 games played in all competitions.

I don't think too many non utd fans want them to lose faith in him anytime soon.

Hojlund 0 goals in 14 matches seems to have gone under the radar a bit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,796 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Yeah it’s another one that’s strange to understand from the outside. Utd fans seem willing to criticise every player but him after poor performances.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,477 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

Boly sent off for Forest. Second yellow,he clearly cleared the ball and wasn't even a foul, but ref gives a second yellow, and because it's a second yellow VAR won't intervene.

    Shambolic officiating.

    Luton a goal up.

You should apply for the tv quiz show Mastermind and make your specialist subject Manchester United FC.

    You'd set a record score, I'd guarantee.

Tbf the service to him is beyond abysmal. The two wingers put in a combined total of 1 pass to him in the game today. It probably isn't the first time either. That's on the manager mostly for thinking that's acceptable output.

Spending 60m+ on a greenhorn striker with 6 top division goals to his name and expecting him to immediately be the main man is also the problem, it's not like he was prolific before this season or anything.

Luton V Newcastle heating up. Very fast moving now.

Horrific decision. On the angle I saw, it looks to be one of the worst I've ever seen.

Arsenal come to Anfield with a a full strength side, with no game midweek. Liverpool have a few injuries to players that would start and played midweek also. Jota in particular will be a big loss with his goalscoring record against Arsenal and Liverpool's other forward's (apart from Salah) being in poor form lately.

I wonder will Arteta have Arsenal set up to frustrate and then use the extra energy later in the game to try and win it then?

No point sacking every manager. Going by your logic Arsenal would have gotten rid arteta after 1 and a half seasons. Think he has a similar points to Klopp over same amount of games.

Arsenal were never as hapless under Arteta as Utd are this season. Plus Klopp got a European final under his belt year one and was on pace for CL year two from the off.

    Those are lazy comparisons.
