Less expensive Saffron at SuperValu

Quite a generous amount of the normally very expensive saffron on sale at SuperValu, Churchtown branch anyway. In the fresh garlic, lemongrass, rocket leaves section to right in first aisle not far from entrance. €3.99, this amount would in my experience command more like €10 Grown in Afghanistan

I’m not up on my saffrons but Spanish cousins do bring me similar containers when they visit and it’s fine

I bought some. And Im picky about my saffron. (What a wanky comment!) Its the real deal though.
