It's a numbers game. They backtracked before because most people stopped using the app. Maybe the new approach will work for them. Time will tell.

We’ve updated our T&Cs for Scratch & Win. This new change helps us to offer even better prizes and offers in the Lidl Plus app every week. To make sure we could offer you the best prizes possible, there is now a new minimum spend requirement of €10 along with scanning your Lidl Plus card at the till, to qualify for a Scratch & Win prize.

Can confirm the min spend 'no scratchcard' is active, just spent €8 and got nothing except the 'Thanks for shopping with us, see you again soon!' message. Oh no you won't Lidl!

The below is a general 'signature' and not part of any post:

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

I have more free time now that the Scratchcard system has changed. 😂 I don't go for my 'daily nip to Lidl' anymore.

On Saturday, as I drove by, it felt like I'd gone through a break-up. I was still here, and managing to function, and 'they' (Lidl) were still there, but we were keeping our distance. Strange sensation, to be honest. 😥

However when I went on Sunday morning, there was a lot of meat, fish, and poultry products in the 'Waste Not' section of my local store. I reckon I got at least €70 worth for about €13, as everything was marked at €1.10, none at €2.20. Did a roast-in-the-bag chicken on Sunday, and froze the rest. At least two weeks' worth of dinners for us. And I got a scratchcard.

So our separation is now amicable, at least.

Have not been to the shop since the 2nd. Anything with a blue/yellow/red combo colour triggers rashes and hot sweats. I've arranged for emergency counselling sessions, borderline if i'll pull through

@RCSATELLITES ask the experts in the drink section but either will work for drain cleaner 🤷‍♂️

    1 - 30% off fin carre chocolate

    Is 2 a pastry?

According to Lidl the €10 min spend means better prizes so i must be missing something lol

I have a 5 off 30 euro qpon I can't use as out of the country, has 2 days left on it if any of youeses want it, send a PM.

They're random it seems. I've seen money off, pasty, we got a bottle of vitamin water.

Just as a sidenote, in the UK they're doing an advent calendar since the first, all the way up until Christmas eve. 30% off the bakery every day 7pm til midnight, free baked good (includes loaves of fresh bread) at 50 pounds, a free product(whatever that may be) at 100 and again at 150 then 10% off your next shop at 250. All that instead of scratchoffs, and it changes on the month, and you have the month to add to the meter, so fair for small-spenders.

Also they have some store specific qpons in a section at the bottom and a whole tab of "partners", like revolut etc. have.
