Bulb question

Hi,

I was given a lamp that has a sticker on it "max 53w". I want to get a smart bulb on amazon. What type should I be looking for? It's an edison screw type.

The wattage rating is generally intended to limit the heat from an old school incandescent filament bulb.

so anything in LED really.

53w sounds like a very small light <odd number> but I find a lot of the smart bulbs are really physically big and tall, so maybe wont look good in the fitting.

Thanks for that. Although not the screw in type, I have a couple of Tapos, I'll gauge it to see how the screw in might look before ordering. I tried a regular led bulb yesterday but it was fine but then started flickering like a strobe light.
