iOS 17.1.1 iPhone 14 safari location bug?

Myself n the Mrs both iOS 17.1.1 (forgot to turn off auto updates.. got me in the night).

Both experiencing same issue in safari & wonder if anyone else is. If I Google say, dentist, it is putting my location all over the country. WiFi & Data but not happening in chrome or other browsers just safari.

I’ve tried turning off private IP & any other settings that might be at fault so just curious if anyone else is having this issue!

Do you have iCloud Private Relay enabled?

Yeah but even with it off same problem. My brothers on iOS 17.0.1 and has no problem like I do!

edit: never mind it’s been off since last night lol but still no change. Also I never had this problem up until the update!

Hey fellow Pokémon! 😂 Have you tried leaving the phone on the window sill for a while? That might make it lock on to GPS and update the reported location. I had a similar problem, albeit with Windows location services. My laptop has a GPS chip in it so I did that for a few hours and it corrected the location after a while.

I haven’t tried but I don’t think it will work— it’s definitely not GPS related cos maps, chrome and anything but safari is grabbing it correctly!
