Vermin control and nv query

I’m going back at ratting, pigeon control and want to set up in nv.

Do I need to get a serial number of a unit I’m planning in buying and fill out a fca1?

I hear it’s being called a restricted licence then but I would like to use it on various locations that I have permission on.

It does require a restricted licence. Whether you need a serial number, I never actually asked FPU(DOJ/AGS) that question.

Thanks for that, I have emailed my local FO for clarity. I want to put a dedicated night scope on my pcp.

I was informed it's the same way you purchase a Firearm. You buy the unit. Fill in FCA1 with serial numbers etc and when you are granted the licence you can collect you NV. Restricted license.
