What’s the average and what would be an excellent time on 4 shots reload 4 shots? In competition shooting. 25 metres say

If your thinking of embassy cup competition then you have 20 seconds.

    Discipline is....

25m. Load with at least 4 rounds, 2 shots on each target. Load with at least 4 rounds adopt the probe position and shoot 2 shots on each target.

Practice so your using as near that 20 seconds as possible.

Always, never load until told to do so by the RO. Load and make ready ie. Chamber a round, and wait for the fire command.

It's a cracking competition but these old bones don't bend like they used too, so I either RO or watch.

I like to see the lads use all the target not just the middle. 🎯🤣

Yes. You load and wait for the "Standby" , then after 5 seconds you will get the command to shoot.

Also some ranges will have T&P1 and multi target comps for shotguns, not all.

My Maverick 88, 7+1, it does the job quite well.

The NASRPC run competitions throughout the year, and some of these will hold shotgun as well. There are 2 classes, manual and like your 1301 semi auto. You need a restricted license to be able to buy competition slugs, (the wad is attached to the slug for only one hole in the target) and a shotgun magazine that holds 6 cartridges.

Most competitions are shot at 25m, 20m, 15m, and 10m. Some at 100m as well.

Have a look at the "Target Shotgun Association of Ireland" website, shotgun.ie, for more information.
