Barnes had a pretty good game in fairness you have to admit.

He did in his hoop. NZ got plenty of 50:50 calls in that second half or are we just supposed to ignore the forward pass for their try.

We haven't won a quarter final ever in the world cup. We are the spurs of world rugby

Barnes should be sent to the permanent sin bin. Biggest clown in world rugby.

Awesome display by PSDT. Deserved Man of the Match performance.

PSDT immense out there tonight. Thought SA were poor in second half. Had an extra man for 50mins+ and were lucky to get over the line. Bench selection backfired. Little impact aside from Smith who was excellent.

That penalty in the first half was 3 points to SA. It made the difference today.

If nothing else I'm delighted PSDT won POTM and gets a winners medal.

New Zealand handling and their passing decision making cost them the game.

But surely the game of rugby was the loser, there'll be post mortems galore.

If everyone started playing like SA, I'd completely lose interest in rugby, if I'm honest. It's cynical, negative, boring muck.

Given their inability to score more than a handful of penalties, and at least one of those being a blatantly wrong call, it's a pretty depressing end to the tournament, tbh.

Barnes was fine. He let the flow as much as he could, but it was a nervy game dominated by kicks for territory and defence.

If you want to blame anyone blame Cane for a stupid tackle.

If you don't count the 3 pts that decided the game in a call he admitted was wrong, other than his mistake costing nz wc then I suppose ehhh yeah

Jean Kleyn playing 4D chess. Genius. Swap to the winning team before the tournament. Well done South Africa. A step ahead of everyone all tournament. Knew to avoid New Zealand in the Quarter Finals.

Well done Jacovs enjoy your night.

we tried to play but poor discipline in the first half cost us.

can’t be too disappointed. NZ have generally been rubbish under foster and making the final was a pleasant surprise.

still not convinced cards are resulting in less head contact.

savea was excellent. But so too was PSTD a well deserved motm.

i think world rugby needs to look at the whole water subs and injury breaks thing with everyone wired up to the coaching team.

    but well done Jacovs

Think Ireland would've beaten both of them. Sad

Ugly rugby wins again. Shocking bad final quality wise. South Africa bottled that second half against 14.

Why don't you count the penalty in the NZ 22 give against Kolisi for not releasing in the tackle when he clearly did? That should have been a penalty to SA right in front of the posts.
